Crazy days of summer.

1. We had an amazing summer .. crazy really!  Finished lots of projects around "Windsong Acres", got Alicia through several fundraisers for Uganda, Spent 3 days at Detroit Lake swimming and fishing with everybody, and then finally our 3rd Annual CAMP BODINE.  I stand back and look at this amazing family that God has blessed us with and hope and pray that somehow Don knows that we are living the dream that we shared.  Austin, Emma, Jackson, Benjamin Charlie and Katie .. together with Roscoe, Riley and Lucy .. Dave, Nikki, Alicia, JD, Crystal and Me!  What a group!  WE LOVE US!

 

 

 

 

Lucy

So .. the day finally came when I could go and pick up Lucy, our new little schnoodle!  Lucy was born in May (not sure the day) so we are going to celebrate her birthday on June 1st with Grandma G.  Lucy is black with a beautiful white face, gray feet and a curly tail.  She is going to be a great addition to our family.  Rylie and Lucy are already playing together ... even though Rylie is a little rough right now.  She loves her big brother!  Come on over and meet this little girl .. be careful .. you might just fall in love with her!

Birthday Celebrations!

Oh my!  55 .. when did that happen?  Do you ever stop and wonder how you got so many numbers next to your name?  Jack asked me the other day how old I was and I held up both hands and said 55.  He held up one hand and said I'm 5  .."we're almost the same!" 

I started to let this birthday "get to me". But God knew better .. He used my family, friends and circumstances to remind me that this year is a new beginning for me.  "Its the little moments that make life BIG! "  Kisses from itty bitty kids, friends crashing into my bedroom at 6:30 in the morning singing "you've got a friend" .. phone calls, cards, flowers, dinner out with 3 wonderful daughters, a caterpillar spinning a cocoon right in front of our very eyes .. all crying out to my very soul saying " you are not alone".  God sends us His love with "skin on" thru the very people He has placed "on purpose" into our lives.

So thank you everyone.. this birthday turned out to be one of the best ones yet!  I am very very blessed .. and I am looking forward to this year .. a new beginning.
